My pots are thrown on the wheel. I then burnish/polish them, those with spikes have them put on with slip at this stage and then the pots are fired in an electric kiln. Once this is done I then pattern them using a thinner slip. The pots are then fired in a bin of sawdust using different woods including pine, oak and sycamore to vary effects. Striped and spotted pots now have the slip removed to reveal the pattern.
Size 7cms high x 9cms wide.
Each pot is unique as effects vary depending on weather and wood type used in the firings - the pot in the photo is the one for sale.
These pots are not suitable for water since they have been burnished.
